Black streaks gone without a pressure washer ever touching your roof. Low pressure, an eco-friendly solution, and it's safe on shingle, tile and metal.
Same-day estimates. No obligation.
The dark streaks running down a Florida roof are algae — Gloeocapsa magma — feeding on the limestone filler in the shingles themselves. Humidity and a long wet season make Central Florida close to ideal for it.
Left alone it spreads, holds moisture and heat against the roof surface, and shortens the life of the roof. It also makes an otherwise well-kept house look neglected from the street, which is why most people finally call.
The wrong fix makes it worse. A pressure washer will remove the stain and take the protective granules with it, along with years of roof life. On tile it cracks pieces and forces water underneath. It can also void a shingle warranty outright.

Tile roof soft wash — Central Florida. No pressure washer used.
Not a rinse. A full process, with the roof surface treated rather than blasted.
Solution strength and dwell time are adjusted for the surface. Tile and metal are never pressure washed.
Landscaping around the house is saturated with water before anything is applied, and screens, fixtures and outdoor furniture are covered or moved.
The eco-friendly solution is applied at low pressure and left to work. It kills the algae and mold at the root rather than scraping the surface stain off.
Everything is rinsed down, landscaping gets a second flush, and the roof is walked or inspected before the job is called finished.
Roof size, pitch, roof type and how heavy the growth is all move the price — which is why we quote the property instead of publishing a number that won't hold. It takes about five minutes.
